Hey it's March!


It's March. Yeah. I suck at this updating lately. Let's play catch-up shall we?

Lets see January was rather boring around here. I did the whole dieting and exercising very half assed. I spend most of the month in the car going van shopping.


I bought a van! It is a 2002 Pontiac Montana. It is burgundy has a power sliding door and leather seats. Works beautifully. We bought some strap on dvd player/monitor thing for the kids to watch. It just straps around a head rest.

We visited Omaha. I saw some of my friends not not nearly all I wanted to see. I found out a friend of mine is pregnant! Yay for her! She will not be reveling to people that she is till April. But I am super excited for her.

On the diet and weight loss I didn't even try.

Now lets talk about March.

I have started a real estate class. I go twice a week. This will be on going until the beginning of May. I am very excited about it and very hopeful about the future.

As for the diet and weight loss I have issued myself a challenge. For the 9 weeks I am in this class I will see what I can accomplish. I will try and try hard to exercise and track and eat at or under my calorie goal via MyFitnessPal. I will not weigh myself, I will not measure myself. I will just see what changes I can make.

My reward? A healthier, happier me. Being better looking. Also I want to do a boudoir session when I have reached my goal weight. I am hoping that this is the big kick off. I have been messing with this for a year. It needs to end.

I do have plans for April. The older tow boys will be visiting their mother in Virgina. During that time I am hoping to get this toddler fully potty trained. I am hoping with the ability to focus solely on him that I will be able to get it done.

Hey, It is 2012.

I managed to not post a blog the entire month of December. I don't know what is up with me about that.
I guess I let myself get side tracked. I still baked and did the whole housewife thing. But Totally skipped out on the whole weight loss thing.

I had made it down to 236 lb. Am now back up to 242. Which is an improvement. two days ago I weighed 245.  The yo-yoing has to stop and now. I have set some goals for myself for this year.

1. track everything I eat on MyFitnessPal You can friend me on there if you are using it.
2.Exercise every day
3. Weigh 220 or less by March 1st.
4. Weigh 200 or less by May 15th.
5. Take good progress photos of me every month. (will start that tonight!!)
6. Update this more often!

Now in my personal life I will be doing some change ups. My husband and I have a goal to have all debits paid off and money saved up for a move to Florida. I am going to be making my first step in the whole process soon. I will be signing up and taking a real estate course when we get out tax money in.

Our hope is that I can make a decent income that will be our savings doing this job. And that it would be a job that I enjoy doing.

Our goal is to save up enough that we can mostly buy a modest home in the St. Augustine area. We love the area. It is so beautiful and full of history. I also love how healthy I feel when I am down in Florida. I have to allergy or asthma issues down there.  It feels like a good fit..

I am hopeful about the future and about reaching my goals.

Sorry I have been MIA so much lately.  I Promise I will have a real post before the week is up!

In other news I have lost more weight. A total of 7lb since I have started trying to lose weight. Am now at 237lbs.

Friday check in 10/28/11


It is Friday so we need to see how I did. I was really in gear this week. Walking 6 miles one day, swimming two hours another. Yeah.

Then Thursday hit. I stepped on that scale. I should not have. It said I was at 242. No change at all from last week. none. It made me sad. I ate like crap yesterday.

This morning I step back on the scale for my weigh in. 239.

So from my start I am down 5 whole pounds! This is nice. I am back where I was before my two weeks of icky.

So yeah.

I have a goal to be 20lb lighter by Thanksgiving. Let's see if I get there.

My Halloween costume!


I actually have been sewing. I thought I would share what I have done.

First let's start with the base pattern used.

I made this for Halloween 2007 or so. It did not turn out as good as I expected. I don't have any pics of me wearing it that year, but rest assured it was not pretty.

So here I am a couple weeks ago when I threw it on with a corset that I bought for my honeymoon.

Friday Check in 10/21/11

Good Friday morning!

So this week I was again bad! I totally only worked out once this week. Life was getting int he way and that is a horrible excuse. I need to get myself back into gear.

So I have weighed in one pound heavier so am now at 242. My waist has not changed. 42 inches. But my hips got one inch smaller and is now at 50.

So nothing to really cry over. but if I want to get to my goals then I need to put in the effort. I want to be 20lb lighter by Thanksgiving. That goal is looking unobtainable right at the moment. I also want to be 40 lb lighter by new years.

Any encouragement will be appreciated.
